Our client, based in Farnborough, is seeking an experienced and motivated MIG/TIG Welder to join their growing Production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fabricator with a strong background in thin-gauge aluminium welding who takes pride in producing high-quality work to demanding engineering standards.
Welder Roles and Responsibilities:
* Carry out high-quality MIG and TIG welding on thin-gauge aluminium (1.5mm–6mm)
* Fabricate, assemble and weld complex components
* Read and interpret from engineering drawings
* Set up and safely operate welding equipment, hand tools and fabrication machinery
* Prepare, clean and finish completed fabrications ready for further production processes
* Inspect finished work using measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometers to ensure quality standards are met
* Work to production schedules while maintaining high standards of quality
Welder Ideal Candidate:
* Experience with MIG and TIG welding
* A minimum of 4 year’s fabrication experience
* Experience working with thin-gauge aluminium
* Extensive fabrication experience involving complex builds and assemblies
* Experience working with mild steel and stainless steel
* Ability to confidently read and interpret complex engineering drawings
* Experience using inspection and measuring equipment
* Strong attention to detail
Welder Working Hours:
* Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:45pm
* Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
