How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mechanical Project Manager – Commercial Fit Out
    Location: Hybrid Working (Office, Site & Home)
    Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + Performance Bonus + Travel Expenses + Excellent Benefits

    Are you an experienced Mechanical Project Manager looking to join a fast-growing M&E contractor delivering high-end commercial fit out projects across London and the South East?

    Our client is an established and rapidly expanding contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering fast-track mechanical installations within prestigious commercial office, CAT A & CAT B fit out, and refurbishment projects. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Mechanical Project Manager to join their successful delivery team.

    The Role

    You'll be responsible for managing multiple fast-track commercial fit out projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    Project values typically range from £500k to £5m, working alongside leading main contractors and end clients.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage mechanical fit out projects from inception through to completion.

    * Oversee project programmes, procurement, budgets and resource planning.

    * Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.

    * Attend client, design and progress meetings.

    * Work closely with commercial, design and pre-construction teams.

    * Monitor project costs, variations and change control.

    * Ensure compliance with H&S regulations and company procedures.

    * Deliver projects on time, within budget and to exceptional quality standards.

    * Build and maintain strong client relationships.

    Requirements

    * Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within an M&E contractor.

    * Strong background delivering commercial fit out or refurbishment projects.

    * Experience managing mechanical packages valued between £500k - £5m.

    * Excellent knowledge of HVAC, pipework and mechanical building services.

    * Strong commercial awareness and contractual understanding.

    * Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

    * Full UK Driving Licence.
