About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the engineering team at a prestigious research and commercial campus in Saffron Walden.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team responsible for maintaining a high-quality environment, ensuring all electrical systems and building services operate safely and efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems
* Fault find and repair lighting, power, emergency lighting, and electrical distribution systems
* Support the maintenance of mechanical building services and associated plant where required
* Conduct routine plant room inspections and ensure equipment is operating efficiently
* Complete maintenance records and update CAFM systems accurately
* Liaise with contractors and the wider engineering team to ensure works are completed to a high standard
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and site procedures
* Identify opportunities for remedial works and continuous improvements
About You
* Fully qualified Electrician (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent)
* Previous experience within commercial building maintenance
* Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Good understanding of building services systems and plant
* A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support the wider team
* Reliable, proactive, and able to build strong working relationships
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
