About your new company
My client, a well-established commercial vehicle maintainer is actively seeking to add a fully skilled, experienced and qualified Chassis Engineer to their team.
Chassis Engineer Requirements:
Demonstrated experience working as a vehicle mechanic or chassis engineer, ideally with commercial vehicles
Strong understanding of light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes
Familiarity working with manufacturers such as Iveco, Mercedes, Renault, Ford, and Nissan
Capable of completing MOT preparation work to a high standard
Solid diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
Full UK driving licence is essential
Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent), are advantageousChassis Engineer General Duties:
Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections on 3.5-tonne commercial vehicles
Identify, diagnose, and repair mechanical and chassis-related issues
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
Carry out repairs on braking, suspension, steering, and underbody systems
Use diagnostic equipment to support fault-finding when necessary
Deliver all work to a high standard within agreed deadlines
Keep accurate and up-to-date service and repair documentation
Follow all health and safety guidelines and maintain workshop standardsChassis Engineer Benefits
