How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are recruiting GENERAL OPERATIVES for our client based in Swadlincote, DE11.

    This is working for a long-established manufacturing business that produce items for the construction industry. The company has been manufacturing since 1989 and operate from modern production facilities serving customers across the UK and Ireland. This company is going from strength to strength & a fantastic place to grow a career!

    Shifts are permanent afternoons Monday - Thursday 2pm - 10.30PM & Friday 2PM - 8PM

    Rate of Pay £13.10ph - overtime opportunites available!

    Temp - Perm Opportunities after 13 weeks for the right candidates!

    Key Responsibilities:

    Operating manufacturing machinery and production equipment - including press machines & industrial guillotine working across a number of departments.
    Loading and unloading materials safely
    Assisting with fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes
    Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
    Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
    Following all health and safety procedures
    Supporting team members to achieve production targets
    What We're Looking For:

    Experience working in a manufacturing environment is essential
    Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
    Good attention to detail
    Ability to work effectively as part of a team
    Positive attitude and reliable attendance record
    Flexibility to work shifts and overtime when required
