How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Lift Service Manager

    Basic Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
    Car Allowance: £200 per month

    Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking a Lift Service Manager to join a growing lift engineering business, leading the delivery of lift maintenance services, managing a team of engineers, and maintaining exceptional customer relationships.
    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Lift Service Manager or an established Lift Service Supervisor ready to take the next step. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the service department, ensuring that engineers are supported, customers receive outstanding service, and contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.

    Commutable from: Gravesend, Maidstone, Ashford, Canterbury, Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham, Sittingbourne, Dartford, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, and surrounding areas.

    The Lift Service Manager Role

    Lead and manage a team of lift service engineers across the region
    Oversee engineer performance, workloads and service delivery
    Build strong relationships with customers, ensuring excellent service and contract retention
    Carry out site visits, customer meetings and engineer audits where required
    Coach, mentor, and develop engineers to maximise performance
    Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures
    Work closely with the Repairs and Sales teams to identify growth opportunities
    Manage departmental KPIs, budgets and overall operational performance

    The Ideal Lift Service Manager Candidate

    Previous experience as a Lift Service Manager, Lift Service Supervisor or Senior Lift Engineer within the lift industry
    NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent - Ideal
    Strong technical knowledge of lift servicing, repairs and maintenance
    Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams
    Excellent communication, organisational and customer relationship skills
    Commercially aware with the ability to improve performance and contract profitability
    Confident using Microsoft Office and service management systems
    Full UK driving licence
