How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Lift Service Supervisor

    Basic Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
    Car Allowance: £200 per month

    Marmon Lift Recruitment is recruiting a Lift Service Supervisor to join a growing lift engineering business, providing day-to-day support to a team of lift engineers while helping deliver an exceptional service to customers across the region.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Lift Engineer looking to move into a supervisory role, or an existing Service Supervisor seeking a new challenge. You'll work closely with the Service Manager, coordinating engineers, supporting technical queries, maintaining customer relationships, and helping ensure service delivery remains safe, efficient, and commercially successful.

    Commutable from: Maidstone, Ashford, Canterbury, Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham, Sittingbourne, Dartford, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, and surrounding areas.

    The Lift Service Supervisor Role

    Support the day-to-day management of a team of lift service engineers
    Provide technical guidance and assist with fault finding and service-related queries
    Plan workloads and monitor engineer performance, productivity and quality
    Carry out site visits, quality inspections and customer meetings where required
    Build strong customer relationships and resolve operational issues
    Support engineer development through mentoring and coaching
    Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures
    Work closely with the Repairs and Sales teams to identify new opportunities
    Assist the Service Manager in delivering departmental KPIs and high standards

    The Ideal Lift Service Supervisor Candidate

    Previous experience as a Service Supervisor, Senior Engineer or similar role, ideally within the lift industry
    Strong technical knowledge of lift servicing, fault finding and repairs
    Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate and support engineers
    Organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities
    Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and service management systems
    Full UK driving licence
