How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Project Manager
    Engineering
    £45,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + Company Bonus
    Rugby

Are you an Engineering Project Manager looking to take ownership of technically challenging projects? We're working exclusively with a highly respected engineering business that has built an outstanding reputation across the UK energy market. With a strong order book, continued investment and a £100m+ turnover business, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, growing organisation where you'll play a key role in delivering critical engineering projects for some of the UK's leading energy and industrial customers.

This is a hands-on Project Management role where you'll oversee multiple engineering projects from mobilisation through to completion, working closely with customers, site teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

    The Role
As Project Manager, you'll take ownership of engineering projects typically valued up to £75,000, managing several projects simultaneously at varying stages of delivery. Working from the Rugby office, with some travel to customer sites across the UK (if required), you'll become the central point between customers, site engineers, operations, and the commercial teams. You'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from supporting the final stages of project costing before award through to successful delivery, customer relationship management and identifying additional commercial opportunities as projects progress.

    Key Responsibilities
    - Manage multiple engineering projects from mobilisation through to completion.
    - Plan project schedules, resources, and site activities.
    - Coordinate site engineers and subcontractors to ensure successful delivery.
    - Build strong relationships with customers throughout the project lifecycle.
    - Carry out site visits to support project delivery and customer meetings.
    - Prepare and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
    - Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements, including COSHH awareness.
    - Monitor project costs, programme, and profitability.
    - Manage project variations, preparing estimates and commercial proposals where additional works are identified.
    - Work closely with internal Proposal, Operations and Sales teams.
    - Deliver projects safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

    About You
We're looking for an Engineering Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership and building strong customer relationships.

    You'll ideally have:
    - Around 3-5+ years' experience in Project Management within an engineering environment.
    - Experience delivering engineering or mechanical projects.
    - Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
    - Strong commercial awareness and confidence dealing directly with customers.
    - Experience producing or reviewing RAMS.
    - Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe systems of work.
    - A proactive approach with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
    - Flexibility to travel to customer sites across the UK when required.

    What's On Offer?
    - Salary of £45,000-£50,000 depending on experience
    - Company bonus
    - Stable, financially secure engineering business
    - Opportunity to work on critical UK infrastructure projects
    - Genuine autonomy and ownership of projects
    - Excellent long-term career development
    - Varied and technically interesting work
    - Supportive, collaborative team environment

    What Makes This Opportunity Different?
This isn't a large corporate environment with layers of bureaucracy. It's a business where you'll have real visibility, genuine responsibility, and the opportunity to influence projects from the outset.
The team works collaboratively and moves quickly, meaning you'll need to be comfortable prioritising multiple projects, managing customer expectations and making informed decisions when resources are in high demand.
If you enjoy building customer relationships, solving engineering challenges and seeing projects through from start to finish, this is an outstanding opportunity to join a market-leading engineering business with an exciting future ahead
