How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Project Manager

    Oxford

    Up to £75,000 Basic + Company Van/Car Allowance + Progression + Excellent Benefits

    Are you an experienced Electrical Project Manager looking to take ownership of exciting commercial and industrial projects from tender through to completion?

    We're working with a well-established and growing electrical contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the commercial and industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint an Electrical Project Manager to join their Oxford-based team.

    The Role

    As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from initial tender through to final account, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standard.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Managing multiple commercial and industrial electrical projects simultaneously
    Preparing competitive tenders and quotations for projects ranging from small works to £1m+
    Leading projects through every stage, from pre-construction to handover
    Managing subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
    Procuring materials and specialist services
    Carrying out regular site visits to ensure quality, safety and programme are maintained
    Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders
    Preparing project documentation including progress reports, technical submittals, RFIs and project close-out information
    Supporting the pre-construction team with surveys, meetings and tender activitiesWhat We're Looking For

    Previous experience as an Electrical Project Manager within commercial or industrial projects
    Time-served Electrician with strong technical knowledge
    Experience delivering projects from inception through to completion
    Good commercial awareness with strong budgeting and programme management skills
    Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
    Full UK Driving LicenceDesirable:

    Estimating experience
    NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor/Manager status
    City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & TestingThe Package

    The successful Electrical Project Manager will receive:

    Basic salary up to £75,000, depending on experience
    Company van or car allowance
