Job Description
We're excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Front-End Web Designer to join our dynamic team. Your role will be pivotal in creating, maintaining and enhancing the web presence of ambitious businesses. Your capacity to produce captivating websites, paired with a strong understanding of HTML, CSS and other web technologies, will be a great asset.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop websites to design and client specifications, primarily on WordPress
* Optimise web pages for speed, scalability and Core Web Vitals
* Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
* Write well-structured, maintainable code, contributing to our high coding standards
* Make good use of AI tools within your workflow, reviewing and refining output to meet our standards
* Test and troubleshoot websites for functionality, accessibility and user experience
* Update and maintain websites, including content updates and security patches
* Provide technical support to our clients
Requirements
* Proficient in JavaScript, HTML and CSS for front-end development
* Experience with WordPress and PHP for dynamic websites
* Comfortable using AI coding assistants (such as Cursor, Claude or Copilot) as part of your day-to-day workflow
* Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
* Knowledge of responsive web design, accessibility and SEO best practices
* Understanding of version control with Git and GitHub
* Experience with modern WordPress builders (Bricks experience a bonus)
