How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join a growing technical team specialising in structural warranties, latent defects insurance, technical auditing, and claims assessment across residential and mixed-use developments throughout the South East.

This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor looking to work within a forward-thinking organisation that combines technical excellence, modern technology, and a high-quality client service. You'll play a key role in supporting developers, contractors, homeowners, lenders, and insurers through technical auditing during construction and the assessment of structural warranty claims.

    The Role

As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you will undertake and oversee technical audits on residential and mixed-use developments, ensuring construction works comply with recognised industry standards, Building Regulations, and structural warranty requirements.

You will also review inspection reports submitted by surveyors, assess technical findings, manage outstanding issues, and liaise with developers, contractors, and site teams to ensure remedial works are completed efficiently.

In addition, you will support the assessment of structural warranty claims by investigating reported defects, determining causation, preparing technical reports, and working closely with insurers and other stakeholders.

Review inspection reports submitted by surveyors.

Assess technical findings, observations, and areas requiring remedial action.

Liaise with developers, contractors, consultants, and site teams to ensure issues are resolved.

Monitor the close-out of technical observations and outstanding works.

Review drawings, specifications, and construction details.

Identify construction defects, compliance issues, and technical risks.

Produce clear, accurate, and professional inspection reports.

Support the technical assessment of new structural warranty applications.

Undertake assessments of structural warranty claims relating to reported defects.

Investigate defects, determine causation, and assess remedial requirements.

Prepare detailed technical reports for internal stakeholders and insurers.

Provide technical guidance to surveyors and project teams.

Assist in developing technical standards, risk management processes, and quality procedures.

Help ensure projects meet the requirements for structural warranty cover.

    Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Confident liaising with clients, developers, contractors, consultants, and site teams.
