How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    MULTI-SKILLED PAINT TECHNICIAN
    Location: Gloucester
    Salary: £42,000 - £48,000 Depending on Experience
    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
    Hours: Monday - Friday - 08:30 - 17:00

    THE ROLE
    As a Multi-Skilled Paint Technician, you will be responsible for preparing, refinishing and painting accident-damaged vehicles to a consistently high standard. You'll work as part of an experienced bodyshop team, using your technical knowledge to deliver high-quality repairs while maintaining excellent productivity and attention to detail.

    The role would suit an experienced Paint Technician who is confident across multiple aspects of vehicle refinishing and enjoys working within a professional accident repair environment.

    Key Responsibilities:
    ·Prepare vehicles and panels for paint, including sanding, masking, priming and preparation
    ·Mix and apply modern automotive paint systems to manufacturer specifications
    ·Carry out full and partial resprays, colour matching, blending and refinishing
    ·Undertake polishing, finishing and rectification work to achieve a high-quality finish
    ·Inspect completed repairs and ensure all work meets required quality standards
    ·Work closely with Panel Technicians, MET Technicians and Workshop Controllers
    ·Complete repairs within agreed production times while maintaining exceptional workmanship
    ·Maintain a clean, safe and professional working environment in line with Health & Safety requirements

    ABOUT YOU
    We're looking for an experienced, quality-focused Multi-Skilled Paint Technician with a strong background within automotive accident repair.
    ·Proven experience as a Paint Technician / Paint Sprayer within an accident repair bodyshop
    ·Strong knowledge of modern automotive paint systems
    ·Experienced in colour matching, blending and refinishing techniques
    ·Confident carrying out both preparation and paint spraying duties
    ·High level of attention to detail and pride in workmanship
    ·Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment
    ·Strong understanding of accident repair and vehicle refinishing processes
    ·Conscientious, reliable and committed to delivering high-quality repairs
    ·Strong team player with a positive and professional attitude
    ·IMI / ATA qualifications advantageous
    ·Full UK Driving Licence preferred
