How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    As an Operations Analyst – Alternatives you will be supporting Border to Coast with the oversight and governance of our third-party service providers. You’ll be of responsible for daily activities to ensure the oversight and governance of fund performance and ensure accuracy Custodians performance, attribution and reporting. As these roles sit within the Alternatives area of our Operations function you will need an understanding of GP/LP structures, Capital Calls, Distributions and how to recognise LP Valuations.

    The role – what you’ll be doing

    As an Operations Analyst – Alternatives your role is hugely important and will include:

    Organise / assist in the co-ordination of back / middle office projects.

    Daily performance activities to ensure oversight and governance of fund performance and ensuring accuracy of Custodians and Administrators performance and reporting.

    Daily Reconciliation of Portfolio positions: Identifying “breaks” and reacting to resolve accordingly.

    Corporate Actions Reconciliation. Raising queries and making adjustments where necessary

    Daily Capital Call and Distribution monitoring to ensure accuracy and escalate accordingly

    Review of Valuations to ensure they accurately recorded in the Internal Book of Records

    Oversight of Fund performance and ensuring accuracy of Custodian performance and reporting.

    Cash Management of settled and forecast cash balances, raising queries and making adjustments where necessary.

    First line Compliance reporting and monitoring.

    Assist Senior Operations Analyst with the provision of Back-Office Reporting as required

    Production of MI for use at Investment Committee

    Identify risks in own area of responsibility, recognise risks in all areas of the business and notify any such risks to your People Manager and the Operational Risk Manager.

    About you - and the value you’ll bring to our team

    Strong problem-solving skills and be reactive while also proactively look for improvements in their task load.

    Good knowledge of financial instruments required for the role.

    Some knowledge of financial information and management systems

    High levels of integrity and trustworthiness

    Effective IT skills required for the job role

    Experience or knowledge of GP/LP structures, Capital Calls, Distributions and how to recognise LP Valuations

    Desirable

    Knowledge of Pooled Investment funds.

    Other corporate knowledge – health and safety, ICT systems, information management and data protection
