The Role
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Accounting, you'll play a key role in the production of accurate financial information and support the wider finance function with both month-end and year-end activities.
Responsibilities:
* Preparing monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
* Supporting the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting.
* Producing financial analysis to identify trends and provide business insights.
* Completing month-end activities including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Assisting with year-end reporting and external audit requirements.
* Supporting finance projects and identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
* Providing financial support and guidance to stakeholders across the business.
* Ensuring compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and financial procedures.
* Assisting the Head of Corporate Accounting and wider finance team with ad hoc projects and reporting.
Key skills:
* Newly qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA (or equivalent), or be a strong part-qualified accountant with relevant experience working for Big 4.
* Previous experience preparing management accounts.
* Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
* Confident communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
* A proactive approach with a desire to improve processes and drive efficiencies.
