Our client, a leading Further Education provider in South East London, is seeking an experienced and inspiring Assistant Principal – Study Programmes & HE to provide strategic leadership across its 16–19 curriculum provision. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive leadership team during a period of growth and sector transformation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the strategic development of Study Programmes across multiple campuses
* Driving outstanding teaching, learning and assessment outcomes
* Supporting curriculum innovation aligned to local and regional skills needs
* Leading quality improvement, performance management and inspection readiness
* Overseeing English, maths and tutorial provision
* Managing staffing, budgets and resources effectively
* Developing employer engagement and commercially focused provision
* Championing safeguarding, inclusion and student voice
* Using performance data to drive continuous improvement and learner success
The successful candidate will have:
* Significant leadership experience within Further Education or a comparable educational environment
* Proven curriculum planning and quality improvement expertise
* Strong understanding of FE funding, qualifications and compliance frameworks
* A recognised teaching qualification
* Degree-level education
* Evidence of continued professional development
* Excellent communication, leadership and analytical skills
* Experience managing and developing high-performing teams
Desirable experience:
* Multi-site leadership
* Employer engagement and partnership development
* Digital curriculum innovation
* English and maths improvement strategies
A current and valid ENHANCED DBS will be required for this position.
