Due to continued growth, we're looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Operations team. If you're a customer-focused engineer with experience installing, commissioning and maintaining technical equipment, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
You'll install, commission, maintain and troubleshoot equipment at customer sites across the UK, ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Working closely with Project Managers, Commissioning Managers and support teams, you'll play a key role in delivering an excellent customer experience while maintaining operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include
Installing, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding equipment at customer sites
Conducting inspections, testing and commissioning activities
Completing service reports, commissioning records and site documentation
Working safely and complying with RAMS, permit systems and HSE requirements
Identifying and resolving technical issues, escalating where appropriate
Coordinating site activities with project and support teams
Supporting urgent customer call-outs when required
Maintaining tools, test equipment, vehicles and spare parts
Building strong customer relationships through professional service
Sharing feedback to support continuous improvement
What You'll Bring
Essential
Experience in field service, installation, commissioning or maintenance within an engineering environment
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Experience interpreting technical documentation and procedures
Good understanding of safe systems of work and risk management
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
Desirable
Electrical, networking or engineering qualifications
Experience with ticketing systems or engineering software
Utilities, energy or industrial sector experience
Knowledge of HV or LV or both monitoring equipment or similar technologies
