How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    • Undertake multi-currency bank reconciliations
    • Support the finance team in managing receivables and following up on overdue amounts with customers
    • Support the management of statutory and group reporting for UK companies
    • Assist with the annual audit of all UK companies, including responding to audit requests, providing information for sampling, and playing a key role in complex external and internal audit requirements
    • Liaise with external stakeholders such as banks and regulatory bodies
    • Help ensure financial controls are upheld, including balance sheet integrity, reconciliation of performance reporting versus IFRS values, and other existing controls
    • Assist with tax reporting requirements, including preparation of VAT returns
    • Support treasury and liquidity management, including management of collateral and other forms of guarantee
    • Prepare regulatory returns and respond to requests for information from relevant UK authorities
    • Manage intercompany service level agreements
    • Support and train junior members of the team
    • Undertake other ad hoc finance-related tasks as required
    About You
    • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline; CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification preferred
    • Strong knowledge of accounting, controlling, budgeting, treasury and IFRS, along with UK reporting requirements
    • Prior experience in commodities or energy trading is advantageous but not essential
    • Confident user of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with strong analytical skills
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
    What's On Offer
    • A competitive salary package, reflective of your experience and qualifications
    • Genuine breadth across financial reporting, treasury, tax and regulatory work – ideal for building a well-rounded finance career
    • A close-knit, supportive team culture that invests in your professional development
