An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a well-established and growing building services contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical projects across a range of sectors.
Working as part of a collaborative pre-construction team, you'll play a key role in preparing competitive and accurate tenders for mechanical installations, helping to secure a strong pipeline of projects.
The Role
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will:
* Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical building services projects.
* Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
* Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
* Produce competitive tender submissions within required timescales.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and the internal project teams.
* Identify value engineering opportunities where appropriate.
* Support the successful handover of projects to the delivery team.
About You
To be considered, you'll ideally have:
* Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the Building Services industry.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical installations, including HVAC, pipework and plumbing systems.
* Experience pricing commercial, industrial, healthcare, education or residential projects.
* Excellent analytical and commercial awareness.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
