How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Intermediate Electrical Engineer
Shape Landmark Projects. Accelerate Your Career. Be Part of Something Innovative.

Are you ready to take your Building Services career to the next level?

This is your opportunity to join a modern, forward-thinking consultancy where you'll work on high-profile projects, gain real responsibility, and develop alongside some of the industry's most experienced Engineers.

We've partnered with an ambitious and growing Building Services consultancy of around 40 specialists that is making waves across the UK market. Known for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions, they have built an impressive portfolio across Ministry of Justice (MOJ) and commercial sectors - including delivering the UK's first fully electric prison.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their collaborative London team.

This role is perfect for someone who wants more than just "another job." It's an opportunity to gain wider project exposure, work directly with senior decision-makers, and fast-track your professional development within a consultancy where your contribution truly matters.

    What You'll Be Doing
Supporting the design and delivery of electrical Building Services systems across MOJ and commercial projects
Working closely with Senior and Associate Engineers through all project stages, from concept to completion
Producing technical calculations, reports, specifications, and design documentation
Assisting with project coordination alongside clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
Contributing to innovative, low-carbon, and sustainable engineering solutions
Continuing your technical development with support toward Chartership

    What They're Looking For
Around 2-4 years' experience within Electrical Building Services Engineering
Experience working on projects through various design stages
Strong understanding of electrical systems within buildings
Familiarity with software such as Amtech, Dialux, Revit, and/or AutoCAD
Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach
Motivated, proactive, and eager to continue learning and developing

    Why Join?

This consultancy offers more than just project work - they offer an environment where Engineers are supported, trusted, and given the opportunity to grow.

    You'll benefit from:

Exposure to landmark and technically challenging projects
Direct mentorship from experienced Engineers and leadership
A collaborative, supportive, and close-knit team culture
Clear progression opportunities with genuine career development
The opportunity to make your mark within a growing consultancy where your voice is heard
A modern approach to Engineering with sustainability and innovation at the forefront

If you're looking for a role that will challenge you, expand your project experience, and accelerate your career within a progressive Building Services consultancy, this could be the perfect next step.
