How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Marketing & Events Specialist

    Keele | £28,000 - £35,000 | Office Based

Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with a growing international organisation to recruit a Marketing & Events Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative marketing team in a role that offers genuine ownership, variety and the chance to develop your career.

This is far more than an events coordination role. You'll take ownership of an exciting UK and international events programme, managing exhibitions and trade shows from planning through to delivery, whilst working closely with sales teams to ensure each event delivers maximum impact.

If you're an organised, proactive marketing or events professional who enjoys managing projects end-to-end and using insights to improve future activity, we'd love to hear from you.

    The Role

As Marketing & Events Specialist, you'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of exhibitions and events across the UK, Europe and Asia, ensuring every detail is planned, delivered and evaluated effectively.

    Key responsibilities include:

Taking ownership of UK and international trade shows and exhibitions from initial planning through to successful delivery.
Working closely with sales teams across the UK to understand requirements, maximise opportunities and ensure events align with commercial objectives.
Coordinating suppliers, venues, logistics, budgets and event timelines.
Managing exhibition materials, promotional stock and marketing collateral, ensuring stock levels are accurately maintained.
Liaising with warehouse teams to coordinate shipments, collections and event logistics.
Measuring event performance through post-event reporting, analysing outcomes and identifying opportunities to improve future events.
Maintaining accurate event activity and data through CRM systems, including Salesforce.
Occasionally attending exhibitions and representing the business professionally with customers, partners and stakeholders.
Supporting the wider marketing team with additional marketing activity when required.
    About You

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys taking ownership and is happy rolling their sleeves up to support a small, collaborative team.

    You'll ideally have:

Previous experience within marketing, events or event coordination.
Experience managing events from planning through to execution.
The ability to analyse event success using KPIs, reporting and insights to demonstrate impact.
Experience using CRM systems, with Salesforce experience highly advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
The ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and confidence building relationships with internal teams and external partners.
A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to get involved wherever needed.
Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Flexibility to travel occasionally within the UK and internationally.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or graphic design software would be advantageous but isn't essential.

    What's on Offer?

    £28,000 - £35,000 salary, depending on experience.
A role with genuine ownership and autonomy.
The opportunity to work on UK, European and international events.
A supportive, close-knit marketing team where you can make the role your own.
Long-term career development within a growing global organisation.
    Company pension.
    Employee benefits package.
    Free on-site parking.
This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing or events professional looking for their next step, with the chance to take ownership of a key area of the business and make a real commercial impact.
