How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Year 5 Class Teacher
    Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
    Start Date: September 2026 to December 2026
    Salary:  (£140 – £232 per day)

    This Primary School is a small, friendly village school located in the Wisbech area of Cambridgeshire.     The Role

    We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 5 Class Teacher to join this welcoming school until December 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working in a supportive, community-focused school and is passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective teaching to a Year 5 class, maintaining high expectations for learning and behaviour, and working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity for pupils.

    Key Responsibilities

    Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2
    Assess and monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to support learning
    Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
    Work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to support all learners
    Communicate effectively with parents and the wider school community
    The Ideal Candidate Will:

    Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
    Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
    Be enthusiastic, organised and committed to high standards of teaching and learning

    £140 to £232 per day

    Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
