How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in Basingstoke? Academics are working with a specialist school in Basingstoke that supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school is seeking compassionate and committed Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team and help young people achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of young people. Whether you already have experience in schools, care settings, youth work or have recently completed relevant training, we'd love to hear from you.

    The school are seeking a Teaching Assistant who will:

    Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
    Work with individual pupils and small groups to encourage progress and confidence.
    Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
    Help create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment.
    Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
    Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.

    To be considered for this role you should ideally have a level of experience working with children or young people, preferably within SEN, SEMH or education. Be able to demonstrate a patient, resilient and caring approach, alongside good communication skills with both students and staff.

    You must have both English and Maths GCSE's (Grade C/4 or above) or the equivalent to be considered and a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
