How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Level 2/3 Early Years Practitioner - Flexible Supply Work

    Location: Southwark & Surrounding Areas, South East London
    Start Date: ASAP
    Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour

    Veritas Education is seeking passionate and dedicated Level 2 and Level 3 Early Years Practitioners to join our supply team, working across a variety of welcoming nurseries in Southwark and the surrounding areas.

    Whether you're looking for full-time supply work or just a few days each week, we offer flexible opportunities that allow you to choose when and where you work while gaining experience in a range of high-quality Early Years settings.

    As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll play a key role in supporting children aged 0-5 years, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive in line with the EYFS framework.

    What We're Looking For

    A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or an equivalent qualification (essential)
    Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting
    A sound understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
    A caring, enthusiastic, and reliable approach
    Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    A flexible attitude and a genuine passion for supporting young children's development

    Your Responsibilities

    Deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences
    Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing
    Assist with daily routines, including meals, naps, and outdoor play
    Foster children's social, emotional, and communication skills
    Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment
    Work collaboratively with nursery teams to provide high-quality care and education
