How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Munchies started with one store in Darnall, Sheffield, back in 2017 — big flavour, bigger personality, and a serious smash burger. We've since grown to six stores, and we're nowhere near done. In 2023, we were crowned Best Takeaway in Britain — and Best Takeaway in Yorkshire — at the Just Eat Restaurant Awards, official proof that what we're building here is something special. Now we're looking for a Crew Member to be at the heart of the next chapter.


    The Role 

    As a Crew Member, no two shifts look the same — one minute you're owning every order on the till, the next you're smashing burgers on the grill, whipping up milkshakes, or keeping the dining area spotless and welcoming, moving across every station as you go. We'll always train you properly on each one before you're ever asked to do it solo.


    Day to day, you'll

    • Welcome every customer with a smile and like you mean it — help them find something they'll love off the menu, and answer any questions calmly along the way.
    • Ensure accurate orders and quick service, every time, the Munchies way.
    • Keep your station — and the whole restaurant — clean, organised and safe.
    • Have your team's back when it's busy — because they've got yours too.
    • Follow food hygiene, Health & Safety & Munchies procedures and standards on every shift.

    Hours & Contract

    This role is offered on a flexible-hours basis, which suits a lot of our crew — there's no fixed weekly hours and we'll always try to give you as much notice of shifts as we can.


    To meet the criteria for this role, flexibility is essential.

    Day availability: Weekdays and Weekends

    Shift availability: Late Mornings, Afternoons & Evenings
