How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are looking for a caring, motivated, and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Lincoln.     Your Role

    As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to provide high-quality support for pupils across the primary age range. Your responsibilities will include:

    Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom through engaging and interactive activities.
    Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence.
    Assisting children with varying learning needs to access the curriculum effectively.
    Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
    Preparing learning resources and supporting classroom organisation.
    Monitoring pupils' progress and sharing observations with teaching staff.
    Promoting children's wellbeing, independence, and enjoyment of learning throughout the school day.About You

    The successful candidate will:

    Be enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting children's learning and development.
    Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
    Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and a proactive approach to supporting classroom activities.
    Have GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above.
