How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

National Quality and Clinical Governance Lead

    Location: National (UK travel required)

Salary: Highly competitive and negotiable + benefits

    The Opportunity

We are partnering with an ambitious and well-established international care provider that is embarking on an exciting period of expansion within the UK elderly care sector.

This is a rare opportunity to join at the very beginning of the organisation’s UK growth journey, taking on a newly created national leadership role with the opportunity to shape the clinical governance function from the ground up.

Working closely with the senior executive team, you will provide strategic clinical leadership across the group’s care homes, ensuring the highest standards of clinical quality, safety and compliance are embedded as the organisation continues to grow.

This is far more than a traditional governance role. You will have the opportunity to influence strategy, develop best practice, implement systems and create a culture of continuous clinical improvement across a growing national portfolio.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead and oversee the clinical governance framework across all UK care homes.

    * Develop, implement and continuously review clinical policies, procedures and governance systems.

    * Ensure all services consistently deliver safe, effective and person-centred clinical care.

    * Monitor clinical quality through robust auditing, analysis and improvement programmes.

    * Lead investigations into clinical incidents, identifying trends and implementing preventative actions.

    * Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulatory standards and professional guidance.

    * Support homes before, during and following CQC inspections.

    * Work closely with operational leaders to drive improvements in quality and clinical outcomes.

    * Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to senior management and home leadership teams.

    * Develop governance reporting and performance dashboards for the executive team.

    * Champion a culture of learning, accountability and continuous improvement.

    * Support the mobilisation and integration of newly acquired or newly opened services.

    * Build and develop a high-performing clinical governance function as the organisation expands.

    About You

We are looking for an experienced senior clinical leader who combines strong governance expertise with a commercial understanding of operating within a growing healthcare organisation.

    You will ideally have:

    * Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN).

    * Significant senior leadership experience within elderly care or complex health and social care services.

    * Extensive experience leading clinical governance across multiple care homes or regions.

    * Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, clinical compliance and quality assurance.

    * Experience developing governance frameworks, policies and clinical systems.

    * Excellent leadership and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at every level.

    * A track record of improving clinical quality and inspection outcomes.

    * The ability to analyse data, identify risks and implement meaningful improvements.

    * Willingness to travel nationally as required.

    What’s on Offer

    * A genuinely unique opportunity to join an organisation at the very start of its UK expansion.

    * The chance to build and shape the national clinical governance function.

    * Significant influence within a growing executive leadership team.

    * Long-term career progression as the organisation continues its ambitious growth plans.

    * Highly competitive salary

    * The opportunity to leave a lasting legacy within one of the UK’s most exciting new entrants into the elderly care market
