How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

With an expanding Building Performance team and an impressive pipeline of projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, education and major regeneration, you'll work on some of the UK's most exciting developments.

Working as part of an established national team, you'll lead the delivery of building performance, decarbonisation and Net Zero strategies while building client relationships, supporting junior colleagues and contributing to the continued success of the team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to combine technical expertise with project leadership in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

    Your Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of building performance and sustainability projects from concept through to completion.
Advise clients on Net Zero Carbon, decarbonisation, whole life carbon and wider sustainability strategies.
Act as the technical lead on projects, ensuring quality, programme and commercial objectives are achieved.
Facilitate workshops and present technical solutions to clients, design teams and key stakeholders.
Support business development activities, including preparing fee proposals, tender submissions and identifying new opportunities.
Mentor and support junior consultants, helping to develop their technical skills and experience.
Review technical work completed by colleagues to maintain a high standard of project delivery.
Contribute to the ongoing development of the team's technical knowledge and service offering. Technical Experience

We're keen to speak with professionals who have experience across several of the following areas:

Operational energy modelling (TM54) and in-use energy assessments.
Overheating assessments in accordance with TM59 and Part O.
Part L compliance modelling and energy strategy development.
    Passivhaus principles and design verification.
Net Zero Carbon and decarbonisation strategies.
Whole Life Carbon assessments and Circular Economy reporting.
Building performance simulation and environmental analysis.
Renewable and low-carbon energy feasibility studies. About You

You'll be an experienced Building Performance or Sustainability professional with a genuine passion for sustainable design and delivering high-quality technical solutions.

    You'll ideally have:

A strong background within a UK building services, sustainability or environmental consultancy.
Excellent technical knowledge across building performance, energy and sustainability.
Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
Strong communication skills, with the confidence to engage directly with clients and present technical information clearly.
Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.
A collaborative and proactive approach, with a desire to continue developing your career within a growing consultancy. What's on Offer

You'll join a collaborative consultancy that places sustainability at the forefront of its work, giving you the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile developments across the UK.

Alongside a competitive salary and benefits package, you'll benefit from flexible hybrid working, structured career progression, ongoing professional development and the opportunity to further establish yourself within a growing national Building Performance team.
