How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Locum Occupational Therapist – Children & Young People (ASD)

    Rate: £30/h
    Location: West Midlands
    Hours: 37.5 hours / week

    We're recruiting on behalf of a specialist healthcare provider for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a growing multidisciplinary team delivering Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD assessments for children and young people.

    You'll use your specialist occupational therapy expertise to assess functional impact, sensory processing, motor development and daily living skills, contributing to high-quality, evidence-based diagnostic assessments. Working as part of an experienced MDT, you'll carry out structured assessments, gather information from families and education settings, provide clinical reasoning during MDT discussions and produce clear reports with practical recommendations for children, young people and their families.

    You'll be joining a supportive, clinician-led service committed to delivering high-quality neurodevelopmental assessments in line with NICE guidance. Alongside your clinical work, you'll work collaboratively with the wider MDT to ensure safe, timely and person-centred assessments while maintaining high standards of clinical governance.

    What we're looking for:

    HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
    Experience working with children and young people within neurodevelopmental, CAMHS or paediatric services.
    Experience contributing to ASD and/or ADHD assessments within a multidisciplinary team.
    Strong knowledge of functional assessment, sensory processing and child development.
    Excellent communication, clinical reasoning and report-writing skills.
