How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client is currently seeking a Principal Client Project Manager to join their dedicated team in the South West Flood & Coastal shared service. This is a contract position expected to run for 18 months, with the role primarily focused on managing capital projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Managing multiple large-scale civil marine engineering flood protection projects.
    Providing Project Executive, Project Assurance or Project Manager services to key projects.
    Coordinating team members' work and supporting strategic decisions.
    Ensuring project delivery to high standards in collaboration with two other principal level experts.
    Using Prince2 project management to deliver services.
    Managing contracts, particularly those under NEC4 ECC and PSC.
    Contributing to the development and success of projects during a peak of works activity in 2027-28.
    Working across two regions and occasionally participating in weekend/tidal working as needed.

    Job Requirements:

    Solid experience and qualifications in Prince2 and/or Association of Project Management.
    Significant experience in contract management, particularly with NEC4 ECC and PSC contracts.
    Experience working within a Local Authority is preferred but not essential.
    Understanding of flood risk and highway planning.
    Driving licence is strongly required due to work across different regions.
    Ability to commit to hybrid working, with two days per week in an office.
