Qualified Social Worker Children Services

Hertfordshire – Children Social Worker – £36 - £38 per hour
• Manage a caseload of Children in Need, Child Protection and Looked After Children cases.
• Undertake Child and Family Assessments, including Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries.
• Complete safeguarding investigations and risk assessments to protect children from harm.
• Develop, implement and review child-centred care and support plans.
• Carry out direct work with children, young people and their families to improve outcomes.
• Prepare high-quality reports for child protection conferences, reviews and court proceedings.
• Attend statutory meetings, strategy discussions and court hearings where required.
• Work collaboratively with education, health, police and other partner agencies.
• Ensure statutory visits, assessments and reviews are completed within required timescales.
• Promote permanence planning and support children to achieve safe and stable long-term outcomes.

Essential Requirements:
• Degree/master’s in social work and SWE registration.
• 2+ years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK social care legislation and practice.
• Right to work in UK
