How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 (CE) Bulk Tipper Driver looking for reliable, ongoing work with the opportunity to secure a permanent position?

    We're recruiting professional and dependable drivers to join a busy and well-established operation based in Birmingham. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for drivers who take pride in delivering high standards, value safety and compliance, and want long-term career stability.

    You'll be working with a modern fleet, carrying out dedicated bulk tipper work, with a straightforward induction process and no driving assessment required before you start.

    The Role

    As a Class 1 Bulk Tipper Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of bulk materials to customer sites across the region while maintaining excellent driving standards and representing the business professionally.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Safely operate a Class 1 (CE) bulk tipper vehicle in line with road traffic legislation and company procedures.

    * Complete daily vehicle walk-round checks and report any defects.

    * Deliver bulk materials safely, efficiently and on schedule.

    * Ensure loads are secure and transported in accordance with industry regulations.

    * Complete delivery paperwork and vehicle documentation accurately.

    * Follow all company Health & Safety procedures on customer sites and public roads.

    * Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with customers and site personnel.

    * Comply with Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive and company policies at all times.

    Requirements

    To be considered, you must have:

    * Valid HGV Class 1 (CE) Licence.

    * Minimum 6 months' proven bulk tipper driving experience.

    * Valid NPQC Card.

    * Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

    * No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements).

    * Good knowledge of transport legislation, driver compliance and vehicle safety.

    * A reliable, professional attitude with excellent timekeeping.
