How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a rewarding opportunity to combine operational leadership with strategic development, ensuring our services remain person-centred, responsive, and aspirational.

    About the Role

You will play a key role in developing innovative services that encourage personal growth, independence, and community participation, while ensuring services remain compliant with statutory, regulatory, and commissioning requirements.

As a member of the Operational Management Group, you will report to a member of the Senior Management Team and work collaboratively with colleagues across Adult Services to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

The role also includes participation in the Adult Service Manager on-call rota.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Ensure services are responsive to the needs of individuals, families, commissioners, and stakeholders.

    * Manage service budgets and resources effectively, ensuring value for money and sustainable service delivery.

    * Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory standards, and contractual requirements.

    * Lead service improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes and experiences for the people we support.

    * Develop positive relationships with commissioners, external partners, and key stakeholders.

    * Monitor performance, quality, and service outcomes through robust data collection, analysis, and audit processes.

    * Support a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and excellence within your teams.

    About You

You will be an experienced manager with a passion for delivering high-quality adult social care services and a proven ability to lead teams through change, growth, and continuous improvement.

    Why Join Us?

    * Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people's lives every day.

    * Be part of a values-driven organisation committed to excellence.

    * Work alongside passionate and supportive colleagues.

    * Contribute to the development of innovative and aspirational services.

    * Ongoing opportunities for professional development and career progression
