How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Machine OperativeLocation: Aylesbury
    Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
    Salary: £30,000 per annum

    We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Machine Operative to join our production team in Aylesbury. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary of £30,000 per year.

    Working HoursThis role operates on a rotating shift pattern:

    6:00am – 2:00pm

    2:00pm – 10:00pm

    Monday to Friday.

    Overtime will sometimes me required at weekends and additional early or late shifts may be required to meet business demands.

    Key Responsibilities
    Operate production machinery safely and efficiently.

    Print rolls of labels to specification.

    Use the correct tools and equipment to cut printed label rolls accurately.

    Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.

    Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.

    Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.

    Work as part of a team to achieve production targets.

    About YouWe're looking for someone who:

    Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in producing quality work.

    Is reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high attendance.

    Is physically fit, as the role involves standing for most of the shift.

    Can work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.

    Is willing to work overtime when the business requires.

    Previous experience operating production machinery or working within a manufacturing or production environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.

    TrainingFull training will be provided, so we're looking for the right attitude and willingness to learn.
