How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are looking for a confident, proactive, and highly organised individual to join us as an Office Manager at our Birmingham office, on Birmingham Business Park, Solihull Parkway – B37 7YN.  

    This is a key role for our business as you will help keep our site running smoothly while providing invaluable support to the Operations Director and Senior Leadership Team in the Region. You will also provide administrative support to our project team at Birmingham Airport. 

    What you'll be doing; 

    Provide admin to senior managers and staff, managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence. 

    Provide personalised PA support to senior managers, including diary management and arranging travel. 

    Oversee day to day office operations, including managing office supplies, equipment, and facilities maintenance. 

    Assist with HR tasks such as employee onboarding and coordinating employee events. 

    Organise company events, meetings, and conferences, including logistics, catering, and venue selection. 

    Ensure compliance on health and safety regulations, maintain emergency procedures, and implement safety protocols. 

    Maintain accurate electronic and physical records and files, ensuring confidentiality and accessibility. 

    Who We're Looking for; 

    Proven experience in office management and administrative roles. 

    Formal qualification in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field is preferred but not essential. 

    Excellent organisational and multitasking skills. 

    Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. 

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software. 

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. 

    Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. 

    Document control experience preferred but not essential 

    Although this is a full-time office based position we will consider flexible working requests where possible.
