How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mechanical Project Manager – Fast-Track Commercial Fit-Out

    Location: Liverpool Street, London (Hybrid Working)
    Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Private Healthcare + Pension

    A growing and ambitious MEP contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join its London team.

    With a strong pipeline of repeat business and negotiated work, the company delivers high-quality fast-track commercial fit-out projects across London and the South East, typically ranging in value from £250k to £2m.     The Role

    Reporting to the Operations Director, you’ll take full ownership of mechanical projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest standards.

    Responsibilities include:

    * Managing mechanical packages on commercial fit-out projects valued up to £2m.

    * Planning, programming, procurement, delivery, commissioning and project handover.

    * Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and client teams.

    * Managing project costs, variations and commercial performance.

    * Attending client and site meetings, building strong stakeholder relationships.

    * Ensuring compliance with health & safety and quality standards.

    * Driving programme delivery on fast-track projects.

    * Producing project reports and maintaining accurate documentation.

    About You

    You’ll ideally have:

    * Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the commercial fit-out or MEP contracting sector.

    * A track record of delivering fast-track projects valued up to £2m.

    * Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC and public health.

    * Excellent commercial awareness and project planning skills.

    * Strong communication and leadership abilities.

    * A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple projects.
