How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

As Project Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership for complex manufacturing projects, ensuring process systems are designed, installed, commissioned and optimised to achieve safe, reliable and efficient operation.

Working closely with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Quality and Safety teams, you'll take ownership of the technical aspects of projects from initial concept through to successful handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead the technical delivery of manufacturing capital projects from concept through commissioning.

    * Develop User Requirement Specifications (URS) and define process, equipment, instrumentation and control requirements.

    * Produce and review key engineering documentation including process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, equipment specifications and control philosophies.

    * Evaluate, select and technically approve equipment and process technologies.

    * Provide technical support during installation, commissioning and start-up activities.

    * Troubleshoot process issues and optimise performance during ramp-up.

    * Lead root cause investigations and implement process improvements using structured problem-solving techniques.

    * Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality and operational performance.

    * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, compliant and effective project delivery.

    * Contribute to technical standards, best practice sharing and continuous improvement across engineering activities.

    About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong process engineering knowledge with excellent project delivery skills.

    You'll ideally have:

    * Degree qualification in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering (or a related engineering discipline).

    * Experience delivering capital projects within a manufacturing or process industry.

    * Strong understanding of process design, equipment specification and process control.

    * Experience developing engineering documentation including URS, PFDs and P&IDs.

    * Knowledge of commissioning, start-up and process optimisation.

    * Experience carrying out root cause analysis and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    * A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving ability.

Experience working within food, feed, pharmaceutical, FMCG or other regulated manufacturing environments would be advantageous.

    What You'll Receive

    * The opportunity to lead technically challenging and rewarding engineering projects.

    * A collaborative engineering environment where innovation and continuous improvement are encouraged.

    * Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities.

    * Competitive salary and benefits package.

If you're a process-focused engineer looking to make a real impact through the delivery of complex engineering projects, we'd love to hear from you
