How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

    Salary: up to £32,852.04 per year (including sleep-in payments)

    Hours: 37.5 hours per week (with a sleep-in it is 47.5 hours)

    We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a compassionate and resilient Support Worker (Female Only) to join a specialist community rehabilitation service supporting women with complex mental health needs and learning disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference by empowering individuals to build independence, develop life skills, and achieve positive outcomes within their local community.

    The successful candidate will support women with a range of complex mental health conditions, including personality disorders, trauma, PTSD, self-harm, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, schizophrenia, and learning disabilities. This role requires someone who is empathetic, emotionally resilient, and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support.

    About the Role

    As a Support Worker, you will provide practical, emotional, and person-centred support to individuals living within specialist supported accommodation. You will work closely with each person to promote independence, encourage community participation, and help them achieve their personal goals while maintaining their safety, dignity, and wellbeing.

    You will manage an allocated caseload, develop and review support plans, complete risk assessments, and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to deliver holistic support. The role also involves supporting medication management, crisis intervention, safeguarding, and helping individuals maintain their homes and daily living skills.

    This is a varied and rewarding role that would suit someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships and supporting individuals through their recovery journey.

    The service operates across a structured weekly rota. Shift patterns are typically Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday (preferences discussed at interview).

    Key Responsibilities

    * Provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with complex mental health needs and learning disabilities. Promote independence, wellbeing, and community participation through tailored support and encouragement.

    * Manage an allocated caseload, ensuring support plans and risk assessments remain accurate and up to date.

    * Support individuals to achieve personal goals and positive outcomes through outcome-focused support planning.

    * Assist with medication management in accordance with policies and procedures.

    * Respond appropriately to crisis situations and support effective risk management.

    * Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to coordinate support.

    * Monitor engagement and develop strategies to improve participation and independence.

    * Support individuals with budgeting, finances, tenancy responsibilities, and maintaining their homes.

    * Maintain accurate records and documentation using electronic systems.

    * Identify safeguarding concerns and make referrals where appropriate. Contribute to a positive, supportive, and recovery-focused team environment.

    About You

    * Previous experience supporting individuals with mental health needs, trauma, or learning disabilities.

    * Experience working at Keyworker level or managing individual support plans.

    * Good understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding, and risk management.

    * Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and medication management is desirable.

    * Strong communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills.

    * Good IT skills and experience maintaining accurate electronic records.

    * NVQ in Health and Social Care (or equivalent experience) desirable.

    * Full UK driving licence required; access to your own vehicle preferred.

    * Enhanced DBS check required.
