How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An exceptional childcare setting in Lemaington Spa is looking for an ambitious, passionate, and experienced Nursery Manager to lead their dedicated team and shape little lives.

    Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending upon experience)

    Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week Monday - Friday

    The Role:

    As Nursery Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for the strategic, financial, and operational management of the setting. You will serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), drive educational excellence in line with EYFS frameworks, and maintain an environment prepared for Ofsted inspections.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Operational Leadership: Oversee daily nursery operations, occupancy growth, and budget management.

    * Team Development: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of Room Leaders and Practitioners.

    * Safeguarding & Compliance: Act as DSL, maintaining strict safeguarding policies and health and safety standards.

    * Educational Standards: Ensure delivery of high-quality early years care, learning, and curriculum.

    * Partnerships: Build strong, trusting relationships with parents, carers, and external local authorities.

    What We Are Looking For:

    *

    Qualifications: A full and relevant Level 3 Diploma in Early Years/Childcare or higher.

    *

    Grade 'C'/4 GCSE Maths or Functional Skills Level 2 (or willingness to botain this within 2 years of starting employment)

    *

    Paediatric First Aid certificate (desirable)

    * Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of management or deputy management experience in a nursery setting.

    * Knowledge: Deep understanding of the EYFS, Ofsted regulations, and safeguarding procedures.

    * Skills: Excellent communication, strong organisational skills, and a customer-focused approach.
