How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Business Development Manager (Energy Contracts/Energy Supplier)

    Manchester - Fully Remote

    £65,000-£75,000 + OTE £159,000-£185,000 + Uncapped Commission + £500pcm Car Allowance + Remote Working + Flexible Hours + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

    Are you an experienced I&C Business Development Manager with strong knowledge of flex contracts, looking for a fully remote role offering genuine high earning potential, uncapped commission, and complete autonomy?

    Do you want to join a highly reputable energy consultancy where strong performers can earn significant OTE through long-term energy contract deals, while working with no micromanagement and a culture built on trust?

    This company specialise in risk management and flex contracts within the industrial and commercial energy sector, supporting clients with transparent, accountable, and integrity-led energy procurement solutions. Over the last 15 years of operating, they have built a strong reputation across the market and are continuing to grow their client base while operating in line with Ofgem-approved guidelines.

    In this role you will be responsible for generating your own appointments, developing your network, identifying new opportunities, and closing deals with Industrial & Commercial clients. You will liaise with clients remotely and face-to-face, arrange meetings through both provided data and your own lead generation, and manage the full sales process from initial conversation through to close.
