How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Pre-Booked Supply Teacher - Grays, Thurrock

    This role sits across a range of primary settings in the Grays area, supporting both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes on a pre-booked supply basis. The schools offer well-organised environments with clear routines in place, providing a stable structure for visiting teachers. Staff teams are welcoming and collaborative, ensuring continuity for pupils even when cover is required. The position involves stepping into established classrooms and maintaining the expected standard of teaching and learning throughout the school day.

    Who we are looking for

    The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic and comfortable working with pupils in a Primary School setting.

    We are looking for a candidate who can build positive relationships, adapt to different classroom environments, and support pupils with a range of learning needs.

    The successful teacher will be confident working across different year groups, with the flexibility to adapt quickly to new classroom environments. A calm and organised approach is essential when stepping into established routines, alongside the ability to build rapport with pupils from the outset. Strong behaviour management and clear communication skills will support consistency in learning. This role would suit someone who enjoys variety while maintaining high standards of teaching.

    What you'll need to apply?

    Relevant experience or qualifications in education or childcare (desirable).
