How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    40hours / 5 Days Over 7 Days

    What You'll Do:

    Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the daily running of kitchen operations
    Leading designated kitchen sections and assisting with the supervision of the wider brigade
    Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to exceptional standards
    Monitoring food quality, consistency and presentation throughout service
    Supporting menu development and the introduction of new dishes
    Assisting with stock control, ordering and inventory management
    Ensuring food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards are maintained at all times
    Coaching, mentoring and supporting junior team members
    Driving waste reduction initiatives and supporting food cost controls

    What You Bring:

    Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef
    Experience working within a high-volume professional kitchen environment
    Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation standards
    Good understanding of HACCP, food hygiene and health & safety regulations
    Knowledge of stock control, food costing and waste management principles
    Excellent organisational and time-management skills
    Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
    The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
    A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach
    A genuine passion for food, hospitality and continuous improvement
    Leadership potential and a desire to develop and support others
