How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electronics Inspector

    Location: Waterlooville
    Pay: Dependant on experience.

    The Opportunity

    We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer operating within a high-reliability electronics environment. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Electronics Inspector to join their Quality team.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with experience inspecting electronic assemblies, PCBAs, and finished products within a regulated manufacturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Carry out visual and functional inspections of electronic assemblies, PCBAs, wiring, and finished products.
    Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
    Verify products against engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), work instructions, and quality standards.
    Identify component, assembly, and cosmetic defects, including soldering faults, placement errors, and wiring discrepancies.
    Use inspection equipment including microscopes and vernier callipers.
    Complete quality documentation accurately and maintain full product traceability.
    Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required and support corrective action activities.
    Assist with root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
    Ensure compliance with IPC standards, customer specifications, and internal quality procedures.
    Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues.
    Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.Candidate Requirements

    Essential

    Previous experience within an electronics manufacturing or inspection role.
    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
    Good understanding of electronic components and PCB assemblies.
    Experience of quality inspection techniques and processes.
    IPC-A-610 certification.
    Experience using microscopes, measuring equipment, and electronic test equipment.
    Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems.
    Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
    Experience working within aerospace, defence, or other high-reliability manufacturing sectors.
    Ability to complete inspection records and quality documentation accurately.Personal Attributes
