How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Interaction Engineering 

    TIG Welder Fabricator  – Immediate Start Available

    Our client is a well-established and respected engineering manufacturer based in Bedford. Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, they are looking to recruit an experienced TIG Welder to join their skilled production team.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated welder who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys working on a variety of precision-engineered components.

    The Role

    As a TIG Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components to customer specifications while maintaining excellent workmanship and safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    TIG welding stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel components.
    Welding thin gauge and precision-engineered fabrications.
    Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
    Preparing materials prior to welding.
    Inspecting finished welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
    Working as part of a busy manufacturing team to achieve production targets.
    Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
    Following all health and safety procedures.

    The Ideal Candidate

    Previous experience as a TIG Welder within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
    Able to weld to a high cosmetic standard.
    Competent reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
    Experience welding stainless steel is essential.
    Aluminium welding experience would be advantageous.
    Excellent attention to detail.
    Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
    Able to work independently and as part of a team.
