How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Manager to join a major hospital project in Bournemouth.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join an established M&E contractor on a large-scale healthcare development, taking responsibility for the planning, coordination and delivery of all mechanical commissioning activities through to successful handover.

    The role will be site-based and will suit someone with a strong background in mechanical building services commissioning, ideally within healthcare, acute hospital or other technically complex environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead and manage the mechanical commissioning process across the project.

    * Develop, monitor and drive the commissioning programme.

    * Coordinate commissioning activities with subcontractors, specialist suppliers, consultants and client representatives.

    * Chair commissioning meetings and provide regular progress updates.

    * Ensure all systems are commissioned in line with project specifications, quality standards and programme requirements.

    * Manage commissioning documentation, testing procedures and handover packs.

    * Identify and resolve commissioning issues to maintain project delivery milestones.

    * Work closely with project management and construction teams to achieve successful completion and handover.

    Requirements

    * Proven experience working as a Mechanical Commissioning Manager within the building services or M&E sector.

    * Previous experience delivering healthcare, hospital, pharmaceutical, data centre or other complex MEP projects would be advantageous.

    * Strong understanding of HVAC, ventilation, chilled water, heating and associated mechanical systems.

    * Experience managing commissioning programmes and coordinating multiple stakeholders.

    * Ability to lead meetings, drive progress and manage commissioning activities through to completion.

    * Excellent communication and organisational skills.

    * Relevant industry qualifications and CSCS card.

    What's on Offer

    * Long-term contract on a flagship healthcare project.

    * Opportunity to work with a well-established M&E contractor.

    * Immediate involvement in the commissioning and project completion phase.

    * Competitive day rate available.

    If you are an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Manager looking for your next contract opportunity in Bournemouth, we would be keen to hear from you
