How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits
    Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

    Our client, a leading M&E contractor with an established presence across London and the South East, is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to support the delivery of major data centre and mission-critical projects.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a strong pipeline of work, delivering complex electrical installations within technically demanding environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage electrical packages on data centre and mission-critical projects from inception through to completion.
    Coordinate design development, technical submissions and procurement activities.
    Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
    Oversee the installation of critical electrical systems including LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear and associated infrastructure.
    Monitor project performance against programme, budget and quality objectives.
    Lead client, consultant and subcontractor progress meetings.
    Manage project costs, variations, valuations and forecasting.
    Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with contractual requirements and industry regulations.
    Oversee testing, commissioning and integrated systems testing activities.
    Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
    Produce regular project reports for senior management and clients.
    Ensure successful project handover and client sign-off.

    Candidate Requirements

    Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within an M&E Contractor or Building Services environment.
    Demonstrable experience delivering data centre, mission-critical or critical infrastructure projects.
    Strong technical understanding of:
    LV/HV Distribution
    UPS Systems
    Standby Generators
    Switchgear
    Power Distribution
    Containment Systems
    Earthing & Lightning Protection
    BMS Integration
    Strong commissioning and handover experience within critical environments.
    Excellent commercial awareness and contractual understanding.
    Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

    Qualifications

    HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
    SMSTS.
    CSCS Black Card (or equivalent).
    First Aid (desirable).
    IOSH or NEBOSH (desirable).
