How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant, Coventry. Long-Term Opportunities.

Sprint Education are specialists in SEN supply cover and recruitment, and we place SEN Teaching Assistants in Coventry in long-term and permanent roles. If supporting students with SEN is your passion, we could be the perfect agency for you.

    What you'll be doing

    * Supporting pupils with SEN one to one and in small groups, helping them access learning and stay regulated.

    * Building a consistent, trusting relationship with pupils who may take time to settle.

    * Helping children stay calm and ready to learn across the school day.

    * Following plans set by teachers, SENCOs and therapists, and feeding back on how each pupil is getting on.

    * Supporting a range of needs, which can include autism, ADHD and SEMH.

    * Taking on wider classroom support where it's needed.

    What we're looking for

    * A calm, patient manner and the ability to stay grounded when things are hard.

    * At least six months' experience supporting children, ideally in a school setting.

    * Strong communication with pupils, families and colleagues.

    * A real commitment to children with SEN, including those with more complex needs.

    * A degree in psychology or child development is advantageous, though it isn't essential.

    * Whether you're a recent graduate or an experienced TA, you're encouraged to get in touch.

    What we offer

    * Full-time, long-term and permanent opportunities for SEN Teaching Assistant work with genuine continuity.

    * Settings across mainstream, SEN and alternative provision in Coventry.

    * A dedicated consultant and clear day-to-day support.

    * Access to CPD

As SEN specialists, we know these roles well, and we'd love to help you find the right one. Let's start a conversation today.

    Why Sprint?

If you're looking to work as a teacher in a mainstream classroom, providing day-to-day supply cover, we're probably not the agency for you. But if you're passionate about supporting students with additional needs and want a long-term role where you can build consistency and see the impact of your work every day, that's exactly what we do.

    Next Steps

If you're looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference, register your interest today.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a school setting.

Sprint Education Recruitment is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
