How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Behaviour Support Inclusion Assistant - Graduate Opportunity

    Location: Slough
    Salary: £92.59 - £95 per day
    Start Date: September 2026
    Contract: Full-time, Long-term

    Academics is working with welcoming and inclusive primary schools in Slough that are looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Inclusion Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience supporting pupils with behavioural, social, emotional, and additional learning needs while making a meaningful difference in the classroom.

    As a Behaviour Support Inclusion Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional guidance to help them regulate their emotions, build positive relationships, and engage successfully in learning. This role is ideal for graduates considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, youth work, social work, counselling, or behavioural support.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
    Promote positive behaviour and help pupils develop self-regulation strategies
    Support children in overcoming barriers to learning and participating fully in lessons
    Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
    Encourage pupils' confidence, resilience, and social development
