The Role
As a Year 1 Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that support pupils throughout Key Stage 1. You will create a classroom environment where children feel motivated to learn, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum as a Year 1 Teacher
Develop a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress effectively
Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of different learners
Work closely with colleagues to support school-wide improvement
Encourage pupils' academic, social, and emotional developmentCandidate Requirements
The ideal Year 1 Teacher will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification
Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1
A strong understanding of the National Curriculum
Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
A passion for supporting young children's learning
