The Role
As a Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering creative and engaging lessons that support pupils as they continue their Key Stage 1 journey. You will establish a positive classroom culture, encourage curiosity, and ensure every child receives the support and challenge they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum as a Year 1 Teacher
Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
Monitor pupil progress through effective assessment and tracking
Adapt teaching approaches to support the needs of all learners
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to whole-school development
Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional growthCandidate Requirements
The ideal Year 1 Teacher will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification
Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1
Strong understanding of the National Curriculum
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
