The Role
As a Year 1 Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils as they continue their journey through Key Stage 1. You will plan creative lessons, establish strong classroom routines, and provide a stimulating learning environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum as a Year 1 Teacher
Create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment
Assess pupil progress and use findings to inform effective teaching
Adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of all learners
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support school improvement
Encourage the academic, social, and emotional development of pupilsCandidate Requirements
The ideal Year 1 Teacher will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1
Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A passion for supporting and inspiring young learners
